Alva is a sculptural light object inspired by the moment when solid matter opens to reveal a hidden interior. Its elongated vertical form evokes a fractured monolith - a narrow rupture where light appears as if released from within. Cast in recycled aluminum, the body combines rough textures with more refined transitions shaped during the making process. A piece of marble is embedded in the lower part of the form, while small brass elements introduce subtle points of contrast. Light is concealed within the object and revealed gradually, filtering through cracks and openings and creating a sense of depth and quiet mystery - as if the object were illuminated from its core.
