functions and disappear into daily routines. This exhibition proposes another
perspective: the object as a living presence. Drawing on Krzysztof Pomian’s
concept of the semiophore, objects gain meaning when removed from use and
placed on display. In this moment, their function is suspended and their symbo-
lic value emerges. Here, the works become Obiecta Animata—objects activated
through human attention. Their vitality unfolds through three stages: creation
by the artist, interpretation by the viewer, and recontextualization by the collec-
tor. Through this process, functional forms evolve into collectible design objects
that transform ordinary gestures—such as eating, drinking, or storing—into
moments of reflection and experience.
